Social media update

It finally happened, my Twitter (X) account was suspended. It wasn’t really a surprise, they have been closing in on sex-workers for some time now. It is extremely frustrating though, I’d been building a following there for over 15 years. It was my main way to announce last minute availability and I would almost always get a session slot filled within a couple of hours. I had such a wide reach on there and it was an excellent way to keep in touch with people and stay up to date with what was going on in the kink world and just share a little bit of my life so people could get to know me before committing to meeting.

It is however a bit of a relief to no longer be there as it was not a good place, and the less I can have to do with Musk the better. I had been debating whether I was ethically comfortable using that site for some time, but the convenience of it as a useful marketing platform always won out. Now my hand has been forced, and I hope it is not too much of a bad thing.

* Update: I appealed and my account was reinstated. I have wiped most of my interesting posts and will be keeping things very neutral on there from now on. I don’t generally like or agree with X, but it is useful even just as an archive of my kinky history *

How I Experience Top-drop

When we consider the after effects of a BDSM scene we are used to thinking about the needs of subs and bottoms. Sub-drop is a well known phenomena that occurs between a few hours to a few days after a scene, and can similarly last a few hours to a few days. It is when all those lovely endorphins and adrenaline fade out and leave a deficit and the mind of a sub can become a darker, sadder place. It is a well known and accepted responsibility of the top or dominant to ensure the sub knows what to expect and at the very least has some care strategies in place.

It is spoken of less often, but dominants can experience similar responses: top-drop. A dominant often has those same chemical reactions during play. Once the bottom is all cared for and sent off, our brains also come back to reality with a bit of a bump. I understand this doesn’t happen to every dominant, but it certainly does to me.

40th birthday reflections

It’s less than a month until my 40th birthday (18th November) and I am so excited about this one. It feels like a real milestone. If you’d told shy little 16 year old me that when I grew up I would be a successful London Dominatrix with my own dungeon, I would have happy relationships with wonderful people, and that I would go out running for enjoyment I would have just walked away thinking you were mad, but here we are! 

As well as my 40th year around the sun, this is my 15th year of working as a Pro-Domme. When I was in my 20’s and dominating men went from a hobby and occasional income supplement to my main career I remember people questioning ‘what happens when you get older? How will you get clients?” as if my value was entirely based on my youth. I didn’t let this worry me too much, but it was a slight concern at the back of my mind. We’re fed the story that youth is sexy, older people are less desirable, as soon as you get wrinkles and grey you’re over the hill. What fucking nonsense.

Accepting new applications!
